Instructions for authors

Registration of presenting author

All presenting authors must register for the congress by the 1st April 2022 at the latest and pay the appropriate delegate fee. Only those who are shown as authors on the abstract will be eligible to present.

Publication of abstracts

Accepted oral and scientific poster presentations will be published on the website of the European Journal of Orthodontics and on the congress website.

Instructions for oral presentations

The scheduled time for oral presentations is 8 minutes, following which, at the end of the presentation, there will be 2 minutes for questions. With this in mind speakers are requested to stay within the time given. Whilst a maximum of five names may be given as authors in any one presentation, only one author will be able to give the presentation.

Instructions for poster presentations

All posters will be numbered, listed and grouped in accordance with the congress topics. Posters will be classified as scientific or clinical according to the content. Authors must be present in the poster area to present and discuss their poster at the scheduled time.  Posters should be constructed in portrait format to a maximum size of 90 cm (width) x 120 cm (height). To enable delegates to easily read the information the lettering should be a minimum of 1 cm high.  Posters must be on display throughout the congress. Authors who fail to comply with the instructions will be considered not to have displayed and will be excluded from presenting at the following year’s congress. Scientific posters will not be published in the European Journal of Orthodontics.

Detailed instructions for oral presentations will be mailed to authors.

Important notice

Authors failing to present their accepted presentation at the 2022 congress will not be eligible to present in any format at the 2023 EOS Congress in Oslo, Norway.

Please note that in view of the limited time available, not all abstracts submitted for an oral presentation can be selected.  Those not selected will be considered for presentation as a poster.
